Claudius Lysias to His Excellency Governor Felix, greetings.

“Go and stand in the temple courts and proclaim to the people all the words of this life.”

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

that this promise God has fulfilled to us, their children, by raising Jesus, as also it is written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son; today I have fathered you.’

For it seemed best to the Holy Spirit and to us not to place any greater burden on you than these necessary rules:

But the centurion was more convinced by the captain and the ship’s owner than by what Paul said.

When we entered Rome, Paul was allowed to live by himself, with the soldier who was guarding him.

So they stayed there for a considerable time, speaking out courageously for the Lord, who testified to the message of his grace, granting miraculous signs and wonders to be performed through their hands.

And now I entrust you to God and to the message of his grace. This message is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

But a Pharisee whose name was Gamaliel, a teacher of the law who was respected by all the people, stood up in the council and ordered the men to be put outside for a short time.

On their second visit Joseph made himself known to his brothers again, and Joseph’s family became known to Pharaoh.

At that time Moses was born, and he was beautiful to God. For three months he was brought up in his father’s house,

“You stubborn people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, like your ancestors did!

He was a devout, God-fearing man, as was all his household; he did many acts of charity for the people and prayed to God regularly.

Now some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”

Crispus, the president of the synagogue, believed in the Lord together with his entire household, and many of the Corinthians who heard about it believed and were baptized.

Paul looked directly at the council and said, “Brothers, I have lived my life with a clear conscience before God to this day.”

Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay with the ship, you cannot be saved.”

Peter looked directly at him (as did John) and said, “Look at us!”
