bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Go! I am sending you out like lambs surrounded by wolves.

“Blessed are you when people hate you, and when they exclude you and insult you and reject you as evil on account of the Son of Man!

“But I say to you who are listening: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

Whenever you enter a town and the people welcome you, eat what is set before you.

Heal the sick in that town and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come upon you!’

But whenever you enter a town and the people do not welcome you, go into its streets and say,

But if I cast out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has already overtaken you.

for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment what you must say.”

But Jesus said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator between you two?”

If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ just say, ‘The Lord needs it.’”

He answered them, “I will also ask you a question, and you tell me:

“Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat,

Then Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil, to save a life or to destroy it?”

“Woe to you when all people speak well of you, for their ancestors did the same things to the false prophets.

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do the same.

Wherever they do not receive you, as you leave that town, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

And if a peace-loving person is there, your peace will remain on him, but if not, it will return to you.

“The one who listens to you listens to me, and the one who rejects you rejects me, and the one who rejects me rejects the one who sent me.”
