A psalm of David. Acknowledge the Lord, you heavenly beings, acknowledge the Lord’s majesty and power!

The leech has two daughters: “Give! Give!” There are three things that are never satisfied, four that never say, “Enough” –

For I will proclaim the name of the Lord; you must acknowledge the greatness of our God.

“Have I ever said, ‘Give me something, and from your fortune make gifts in my favor’?

Acknowledge the majesty of the Lord’s reputation! Worship the Lord in holy attire!

Give us help against the enemy, for any help men might offer is futile.

Ascribe to the Lord the splendor he deserves! Bring an offering and enter his courts!

Come, let’s go down and confuse their language so they won’t be able to understand each other.”

Then they said to one another, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” (They had brick instead of stone and tar instead of mortar.)

Then they said, “Come, let’s build ourselves a city and a tower with its top in the heavens so that we may make a name for ourselves. Otherwise we will be scattered across the face of the entire earth.”

Pick three men from each tribe. I will send them out to walk through the land and make a map of it for me.
