The land allotted to Joseph’s descendants extended from the Jordan at Jericho to the waters of Jericho to the east, through the desert and on up from Jericho into the hill country of Bethel.

It then descended from Janoah to Ataroth and Naarah, touched Jericho, and extended to the Jordan River.

The Israelites traveled on and camped in the plains of Moab on the side of the Jordan River across from Jericho.

So Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab, by the Jordan River across from Jericho. They said,

They traveled from the mountains of Abarim and camped in the plains of Moab by the Jordan River across from Jericho.

the Negev, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of the date palm trees, as far as Zoar.

About forty thousand battle-ready troops marched past the Lord to fight on the plains of Jericho.

The people went up from the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month and camped in Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho.

Now Jericho was shut tightly because of the Israelites. No one was allowed to leave or enter.

When the residents of Gibeon heard what Joshua did to Jericho and Ai,
