They made the Lord angry by their actions, and a plague broke out among them.

They were defiled by their deeds, and unfaithful in their actions.

The Lord gave me knowledge, that I might have understanding. Then he showed me what the people were doing.

Tell the innocent it will go well with them, for they will be rewarded for what they have done.

The earth will become desolate because of what its inhabitants have done.

Pay them back for their evil deeds! Pay them back for what they do! Punish them!

I will remember the works of the Lord. Yes, I will remember the amazing things you did long ago!

Then they will place their confidence in God. They will not forget the works of God, and they will obey his commands.

Even a young man is known by his actions, whether his activity is pure and whether it is right.

Wash! Cleanse yourselves! Remove your sinful deeds from my sight. Stop sinning!

I, the Lord, probe into people’s minds. I examine people’s hearts. I deal with each person according to how he has behaved. I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.

But I will punish you as your deeds deserve,’ says the Lord. ‘I will set fire to your palace; it will burn up everything around it.’”
