Attai was the father of Nathan, and Nathan was the father of Zabad.

Azariah son of Nathan was supervisor of the district governors. Zabud son of Nathan was a priest and adviser to the king.

Nathan said to David, “You should do whatever you have in mind, for God is with you.”

Then David became very angry at this man. He said to Nathan, “As surely as the Lord lives, the man who did this deserves to die!

Then Nathan went to his home. The Lord struck the child that Uriah’s wife had borne to David, and the child became very ill.
