Solomon then sent this message to Hiram:

Pharaoh said to him, “What do you lack here that makes you want to go to your homeland?” Hadad replied, “Nothing, but please give me permission to leave.”

The men of the city, the leaders and the nobles who lived there, followed the written orders Jezebel had sent them.

King Solomon sent for Hiram of Tyre.

Hiram had sent to the king one hundred twenty talents of gold.

Then they reported to Jezebel, “Naboth has been stoned to death.”

King Solomon then sent Benaiah son of Jehoiada, and he killed Adonijah.

Hiram sent his fleet and some of his sailors, who were well acquainted with the sea, to serve with Solomon’s men.

They sent for him, and Jeroboam and the whole Israelite assembly came and spoke to Rehoboam, saying,

Ahab sent messengers to all the Israelites and had the prophets assemble at Mount Carmel.

Hiram then sent this message to Solomon: “I received the message you sent to me. I will give you all the cedars and evergreens you need.

When the king heard what the prophet cried out against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam, standing at the altar, extended his hand and ordered, “Seize him!” The hand he had extended shriveled up and he could not pull it back.

Ben Hadad said, “I will return the cities my father took from your father. You may set up markets in Damascus, just as my father did in Samaria.” Ahab then said, “I want to make a treaty with you before I dismiss you.” So he made a treaty with him and then dismissed him.

King Solomon sent men to bring him down from the altar. He came and bowed down to King Solomon, and Solomon told him, “Go home.”

Next the king summoned Shimei and told him, “Build yourself a house in Jerusalem and live there – but you may not leave there to go anywhere!

He sent them to Lebanon in shifts of 10,000 men per month. They worked in Lebanon for one month, and then spent two months at home. Adoniram was supervisor of the work crews.

He sent messengers to King Ahab of Israel, who was in the city.

The messengers came again and said, “This is what Ben Hadad says, ‘I sent this message to you, “You must give me your silver, gold, wives, and sons.”

The servants of the district governors led the march. When Ben Hadad sent messengers, they reported back to him, “Men are marching out of Samaria.”

The prophet then said to him, “This is what the Lord says, ‘Because you released a man I had determined should die, you will pay with your life and your people will suffer instead of his people.’”
