In the thirty-first year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri became king over Israel. He ruled for twelve years, six of them in Tirzah.

David reigned over Israel forty years; he reigned in Hebron seven years, and in Jerusalem thirty-three years.

In the seventeenth year of King Jehoshaphat’s reign over Judah, Ahab’s son Ahaziah became king over Israel in Samaria. He ruled for two years over Israel.

In the month Ziv of the fourth year of Solomon’s reign the foundation was laid for the Lord’s temple.

In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites left Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, during the month Ziv (the second month), he began building the Lord’s temple.

In the thirty-eighth year of Asa’s reign over Judah, Omri’s son Ahab became king over Israel. Ahab son of Omri ruled over Israel for twenty-two years in Samaria.

Solomon took thirteen years to build his palace.

In the eighteenth year of the reign of Jeroboam son of Nebat, Abijah became king over Judah.

He ruled for three years in Jerusalem. His mother was Maacah, the daughter of Abishalom.

In the twentieth year of Jeroboam’s reign over Israel, Asa became the king of Judah.

He ruled for forty-one years in Jerusalem. His grandmother was Maacah daughter of Abishalom.
