All the men who assembled at the city gate agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem. Every male who assembled at the city gate was circumcised.

as his property in the presence of the sons of Heth before all who entered the gate of Ephron’s city.

So Hamor and his son Shechem went to the gate of their city and spoke to the men of their city,

The two angels came to Sodom in the evening while Lot was sitting in the city’s gateway. When Lot saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face toward the ground.
