and with every living creature that is with you, including the birds, the domestic animals, and every living creature of the earth with you, all those that came out of the ark with you – every living creature of the earth.

“Look! I now confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to you and lead you up from this land to the land he swore on oath to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

I confirm my covenant with you: Never again will all living things be wiped out by the waters of a flood; never again will a flood destroy the earth.”

And God said, “This is the guarantee of the covenant I am making with you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all subsequent generations:

Then we will give you our daughters to marry, and we will take your daughters as wives for ourselves, and we will live among you and become one people.

But Judah said to him, “The man solemnly warned us, ‘You will not see my face unless your brother is with you.’

But if you will not send him, we won’t go down there because the man said to us, ‘You will not see my face unless your brother is with you.’”

But you said to your servants, ‘If your youngest brother does not come down with you, you will not see my face again.’

Joseph said to the people, “Since I have bought you and your land today for Pharaoh, here is seed for you. Cultivate the land.

Then Israel said to Joseph, “I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you back to the land of your fathers.

Jacob called for his sons and said, “Gather together so I can tell you what will happen to you in the future.

So now, don’t be afraid. I will provide for you and your little children.” Then he consoled them and spoke kindly to them.

Joseph made the sons of Israel swear an oath. He said, “God will surely come to you. Then you must carry my bones up from this place.”

One of you must go and get your brother, while the rest of you remain in prison. In this way your words may be tested to see if you are telling the truth. If not, then, as surely as Pharaoh lives, you are spies!”
