they will by no means see the land that I swore to their fathers, nor will any of them who despised me see it.

Then he said to me, “Get up, set out leading the people so they may go and possess the land I promised to give to their ancestors.”

Then Moses called out to Joshua in the presence of all Israel, “Be strong and courageous, for you will accompany these people to the land that the Lord promised to give their ancestors, and you will enable them to inherit it.
