Next I asked the messenger, “What are these two olive trees on the right and the left of the menorah?”

“You are to make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand is to be made of hammered metal; its base and its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its blossoms are to be from the same piece.

“Speak to Aaron and tell him, ‘When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light in front of the lampstand.’”

And Aaron did so; he set up the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as the Lord commanded Moses.
