They covered the surface of all the ground, so that the ground became dark with them, and they ate all the vegetation of the ground and all the fruit of the trees that the hail had left. Nothing green remained on the trees or on anything that grew in the fields throughout the whole land of Egypt.

The whole community of Israel must observe it.

For six days you may labor and do all your work,

“You must not afflict any widow or orphan.

Moses came and told the people all the Lord’s words and all the decisions. All the people answered together, “We are willing to do all the words that the Lord has said,”

All the hangings around the courtyard were of fine twisted linen.

Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him and all the signs that he had commanded him.

“Set apart to me every firstborn male – the first offspring of every womb among the Israelites, whether human or animal; it is mine.”

and all the people answered together, “All that the Lord has commanded we will do!” So Moses brought the words of the people back to the Lord.

“I will send my terror before you, and I will destroy all the people whom you encounter; I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.

When all the people would see the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people, each one at the entrance of his own tent, would rise and worship.

After this all the Israelites approached, and he commanded them all that the Lord had spoken to him on Mount Sinai.

So all the skilled people who were doing all the work on the sanctuary came from the work they were doing

the bases for the courtyard all around, the bases for the gate of the courtyard, all the tent pegs of the tabernacle, and all the tent pegs of the courtyard all around.

And take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and sanctify it and all its furnishings, and it will be holy.

You will not eat anything made with yeast; in all the places where you live you must eat bread made without yeast.’”

Moses listened to his father-in-law and did everything he had said.

God spoke all these words:

“Whoever has sexual relations with a beast must surely be put to death.

So the whole community of the Israelites went out from the presence of Moses.
