One generation will praise your deeds to another, and tell about your mighty acts!

There is a generation who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not washed from their filthiness.

There is a generation whose eyes are so lofty, and whose eyelids are lifted up disdainfully.

Then they will not be like their ancestors, who were a stubborn and rebellious generation, a generation that was not committed and faithful to God.

His people have been unfaithful to him; they have not acted like his children – this is their sin. They are a perverse and deceitful generation.

Remember continually his covenantal decree, the promise he made to a thousand generations –

Such purity characterizes the people who seek his favor, Jacob’s descendants, who pray to him. (Selah)

People will fear you as long as the sun and moon remain in the sky, for generation after generation.

There is a generation who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers.

A generation comes and a generation goes, but the earth remains the same through the ages.

Children of the third generation born to them may enter the assembly of the Lord.

and the northern kings who ruled in the hill country, the Arabah south of Kinnereth, the lowlands, and the heights of Dor to the west.

But he will join his ancestors; they will never again see the light of day.

so that the next generation, children yet to be born, might know about them. They will grow up and tell their descendants about them.
