The gatekeepers relayed the news to the royal palace.

When Esther’s reply was conveyed to Mordecai,

They will come and tell about his saving deeds; they will tell a future generation what he has accomplished.

Messengers came and told David what had happened to the men, so he summoned them, for the men were thoroughly humiliated. The king said, “Stay in Jericho until your beards grow again; then you may come back.”
