Moses built an altar, and he called it “The Lord is my Banner,”

“You are to make an altar for burning incense; you are to make it of acacia wood.

And he put the gold altar in the tent of meeting in front of the curtain,

the table and all its utensils, the lampstand and its utensils, the altar of incense,

the altar for the burnt offering and all its utensils, and the laver and its base.

When Aaron saw this, he built an altar before it, and Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow will be a feast to the Lord.”

He made the incense altar of acacia wood. Its length was a foot and a half and its width a foot and a half – a square – and its height was three feet. Its horns were of one piece with it.

You are to put the gold altar for incense in front of the ark of the testimony and put the curtain at the entrance to the tabernacle.

Then you are to anoint the altar for the burnt offering with all its utensils; you are to sanctify the altar, and it will be the most holy altar.

‘You must make for me an altar made of earth, and you will sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, your sheep and your cattle. In every place where I cause my name to be honored I will come to you and I will bless you.

and Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord. Early in the morning he built an altar at the foot of the mountain and arranged twelve standing stones – according to the twelve tribes of Israel.
