he plots evil with perverse thoughts in his heart, he spreads contention at all times.

A perverse person spreads dissension, and a gossip separates the closest friends.

An evil person seeks only rebellion, and so a cruel messenger will be sent against him.

Furthermore, the Lord your God will release hornets among them until the very last ones who hide from you perish.

Now let my lord send to his servants the wheat, barley, olive oil, and wine he has promised;

“While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.

“Surely one does not stretch out his hand against a broken man when he cries for help in his distress.
