The king swore an oath: “As certainly as the Lord lives (he who has rescued me from every danger),

But Elijah said, “As certainly as the Lord who rules over all lives (whom I serve), I will make an appearance before him today.”

But Micaiah said, “As certainly as the Lord lives, I will say what the Lord tells me to say.”

Elijah took the boy, brought him down from the upper room to the house, and handed him to his mother. Elijah then said, “See, your son is alive!”
