Then they went to a place called Gethsemane, and Jesus said to his disciples, “Sit here while I pray.”

He said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay alert.”

Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe him.

And looking at those who were sitting around him in a circle, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers!

If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here soon.’”

So Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters – one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

But he said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has been raised! He is not here. Look, there is the place where they laid him.

Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren’t his sisters here with us?” And so they took offense at him.

And he said to them, “I tell you the truth, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the kingdom of God come with power.”

“I have compassion on the crowd, because they have already been here with me three days, and they have nothing to eat.

and said to them, “Go to the village ahead of you. As soon as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

He replied, “Let us go elsewhere, into the surrounding villages, so that I can preach there too. For that is what I came out here to do.”

His disciples answered him, “Where can someone get enough bread in this desolate place to satisfy these people?”

Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left on another. All will be torn down!”

So he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Stand up among all these people.”

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer is approaching!”

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

But those tenants said to one another, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and the inheritance will be ours!’

Now as Jesus was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!”
