and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh.

They were distressed, and one by one said to him, “Surely not I?”

And they crucified two outlaws with him, one on his right and one on his left.

He said to them, “It is one of the twelve, one who dips his hand with me into the bowl.

So Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let us make three shelters – one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

He had one left, his one dear son. Finally he sent him to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’

Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who does not believe will be condemned.

Jesus answered, “The most important is: ‘Listen, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me.”

So they began to discuss with one another about having no bread.

Jesus began to say to them, “Watch out that no one misleads you.

They said, “John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and still others, one of the prophets.”

During the feast it was customary to release one prisoner to the people, whomever they requested.

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

Now they had forgotten to take bread, except for one loaf they had with them in the boat.

Then Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands.

Now while Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the high priest’s slave girls came by.

When the slave girl saw him, she began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”

The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.
