or with princes who possessed gold, who filled their palaces with silver.

Indeed, God is exalted in his power; who is a teacher like him?

Do you really think that one who hates justice can govern? And will you declare guilty the supremely righteous One,

Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert what is right?

But if you will look to God, and make your supplication to the Almighty,

for he stretches out his hand against God, and vaunts himself against the Almighty,

then the Almighty himself will be your gold, and the choicest silver for you.

Indeed, God has made my heart faint; the Almighty has terrified me.

Will he find delight in the Almighty? Will he call out to God at all times?

when the Almighty was still with me and my children were around me;

the chief men refrained from talking and covered their mouths with their hands;

Indeed, in truth, God does not act wickedly, and the Almighty does not pervert justice.

“Therefore, blessed is the man whom God corrects, so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty.

“To the one in despair, kindness should come from his friend even if he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

“Can you discover the essence of God? Can you find out the perfection of the Almighty?

He deprives the leaders of the earth of their understanding; he makes them wander in a trackless desert waste.

But I wish to speak to the Almighty, and I desire to argue my case with God.

Who is the Almighty, that we should serve him? What would we gain if we were to pray to him?’

Let his own eyes see his destruction; let him drink of the anger of the Almighty.

For you say, ‘Where now is the nobleman’s house, and where are the tents in which the wicked lived?’
