From the remaining 1,775 shekels he made hooks for the posts, overlaid their tops, and made bands for them.

He put them on the shoulder pieces of the ephod as stones of memorial for the Israelites, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Moses inspected all the work – and they had done it just as the Lord had commanded – they had done it exactly – and Moses blessed them.

and anoint them just as you anointed their father, so that they may minister as my priests; their anointing will make them a priesthood that will continue throughout their generations.”

Next, the one presenting the offering must cut it into parts, with its head and its suet, and the priest must arrange them on the wood which is in the fire, on the altar.

He must bring them to the priest and present first the one that is for a sin offering. The priest must pinch its head at the nape of its neck, but must not sever the head from the body.

This is what the Lord commanded to give to them from the Israelites on the day Moses anointed them – a perpetual allotted portion throughout their generations.

Then Moses took the anointing oil and anointed the tabernacle and everything in it, and so consecrated them.

Moses also brought forward Aaron’s sons, clothed them with tunics, wrapped sashes around them, and wrapped headbands on them just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

He then put all of them on the palms of Aaron and his sons, who waved them as a wave offering before the Lord.

Moses then took them from their palms and offered them up in smoke on the altar on top of the burnt offering – they were an ordination offering for a soothing aroma; it was a gift to the Lord.

“‘These you can eat from all creatures that are in the water: Any creatures in the water that have both fins and scales, whether in the seas or in the streams, you may eat.

“The priest is to take one male lamb and present it for a guilt offering along with the log of olive oil and present them as a wave offering before the Lord.

“On the eighth day he must bring them for his purification to the priest at the entrance of the Meeting Tent before the Lord,

and the priest is to take the male lamb of the guilt offering and the log of olive oil and wave them as a wave offering before the Lord.

and the priest is to make one of them a sin offering and the other a burnt offering. So the priest is to make atonement for him before the Lord for his discharge.

So he is to make atonement for the holy place from the impurities of the Israelites and from their transgressions with regard to all their sins, and thus he is to do for the Meeting Tent which resides with them in the midst of their impurities.

and the one who burns them must wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may reenter the camp.

So you must keep my statutes and my regulations; anyone who does so will live by keeping them. I am the Lord.

You yourselves must obey my statutes and my regulations and must not do any of these abominations, both the native citizen and the resident foreigner in your midst,
