Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? We don’t need letters of recommendation to you or from you as some other people do, do we?

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone,

Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making His plea through us. We plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Be reconciled to God!”

God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.

as unknown, and yet well-known; as dying and yet – see! – we continue to live; as those who are scourged and yet not executed;

For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy, because I promised you in marriage to one husband, to present you as a pure virgin to Christ.

Now I will most gladly spend and be spent for your lives! If I love you more, am I to be loved less?

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel –

But even if we (or an angel from heaven) should preach a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be condemned to hell!

You foolish Galatians! Who has cast a spell on you? Before your eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed as crucified!

Does God then give you the Spirit and work miracles among you by your doing the works of the law or by your believing what you heard?

I wish I could be with you now and change my tone of voice, because I am perplexed about you.

For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery.

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God;

But now in Christ Jesus you who used to be far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

So then you are no longer foreigners and noncitizens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of God’s household,

if indeed you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

For this reason I ask you not to lose heart because of what I am suffering for you, which is your glory.
