When they heard this, all the people in the synagogue were filled with rage.

They were amazed at his teaching, because he spoke with authority.

So the news about him spread into all areas of the region.

So he continued to preach in the synagogues of Judea.

When they had done this, they caught so many fish that their nets started to tear.

So when they had brought their boats to shore, they left everything and followed him.

Yet Jesus himself frequently withdrew to the wilderness and prayed.

Then he said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

Treat others in the same way that you would want them to treat you.

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do what I tell you?

So when those who had been sent returned to the house, they found the slave well.

John’s disciples informed him about all these things. So John called two of his disciples

Blessed is anyone who takes no offense at me.”
