And Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise.”

They were talking to each other about all the things that had happened.

Furthermore, some women of our group amazed us. They were at the tomb early this morning,

Wasn’t it necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and enter into his glory?”

and saying, “The Lord has really risen, and has appeared to Simon!”

But they were startled and terrified, thinking they saw a ghost.

So they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

and were continually in the temple courts blessing God.

All things were created by him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.

In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.

He came to what was his own, but his own people did not receive him.

Again the next day John was standing there with two of his disciples.

Gazing at Jesus as he walked by, he said, “Look, the Lamb of God!”
