Then the father said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and everything that belongs to me is yours.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one tiny stroke of a letter in the law to become void.

nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is in your midst.”

In fact, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

So also you, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.

So they said, “Look, Lord, here are two swords.” Then he told them, “It is enough.”

They blindfolded him and asked him repeatedly, “Prophesy! Who hit you?”

Neither did Herod, for he sent him back to us. Look, he has done nothing deserving death.

He is not here, but has been raised! Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee,

His disciples remembered that it was written, “Zeal for your house will devour me.”

for you have had five husbands, and the man you are living with now is not your husband. This you said truthfully!”

Now there is in Jerusalem by the Sheep Gate a pool called Bethzatha in Aramaic, which has five covered walkways.

So the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to carry your mat.”

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat and walk’?”

The man went away and informed the Jewish leaders that Jesus was the one who had made him well.

For the bread of God is the one who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.”

So the Jewish leaders were looking for him at the feast, asking, “Where is he?”

Then some of the residents of Jerusalem began to say, “Isn’t this the man they are trying to kill?

When they heard these words, some of the crowd began to say, “This really is the Prophet!”

So the Pharisees objected, “You testify about yourself; your testimony is not true!”
