Then Jesus asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene.”

Then Annas sent him, still tied up, to Caiaphas the high priest.

Then Pilate took Jesus and had him flogged severely.

When Pilate heard what they said, he was more afraid than ever,

Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.So they took Jesus,

There they crucified him along with two others, one on each side, with Jesus in the middle.

The other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he replied, “Unless I see the wounds from the nails in his hands, and put my finger into the wounds from the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will never believe it!”

for he was counted as one of us and received a share in this ministry.”

So they proposed two candidates: Joseph called Barsabbas (also called Justus) and Matthias.

This Jesus God raised up, and we are all witnesses of it.

All the people saw him walking and praising God,

until another king who did not know about Joseph ruled over Egypt.
