How blessed are those who live in your temple and praise you continually! (Selah)

Planted in the Lord’s house, they grow in the courts of our God.

where the birds make nests, near the evergreens in which the herons live.

When Israel left Egypt, when the family of Jacob left a foreign nation behind,

O family of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is their deliverer and protector.

Let the family of Aaron say, “Yes, his loyal love endures!”

May the one who comes in the name of the Lord be blessed! We will pronounce blessings on you in the Lord’s temple.

Indeed, the leaders sit there on thrones and make legal decisions, on the thrones of the house of David.

For the sake of the temple of the Lord our God I will pray for you to prosper.

We will seize all kinds of precious wealth; we will fill our houses with plunder.

For her house sinks down to death, and her paths lead to the place of the departed spirits.

The Lord’s curse is on the household of the wicked, but he blesses the home of the righteous.

Keep yourself far from her, and do not go near the door of her house,

lest strangers devour your strength, and your labor benefit another man’s house.
