Ships will come from the coast of Kittim, and will afflict Asshur, and will afflict Eber, and he will also perish forever.”

Then Moses gave a ruling to the Israelites by the word of the Lord: “What the tribe of the Josephites is saying is right.

No inheritance may pass from tribe to tribe. But every one of the tribes of the Israelites must retain its inheritance.”

According to the word of the Lord they were numbered, by the authority of Moses, each according to his service and according to what he was to carry. Thus were they numbered by him, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

But the Levites were not numbered among the other Israelites, as the Lord commanded Moses.

“Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may serve him.

You are to assign the Levites to Aaron and his sons; they will be assigned exclusively to him out of all the Israelites.

Every man’s holy things will be his; whatever any man gives the priest will be his.’”

You are to bring the Levites before the tent of meeting and assemble the entire community of the Israelites.

Then you are to bring the Levites before the Lord, and the Israelites are to lay their hands on the Levites;

You are to have the Levites stand before Aaron and his sons, and then offer them as a wave offering to the Lord.
