Then Pilate handed him over to them to be crucified.So they took Jesus,

After this Jesus, realizing that by this time everything was completed, said (in order to fulfill the scripture), “I am thirsty!”

(For they did not yet understand the scripture that Jesus must rise from the dead.)

When it was already very early morning, Jesus stood on the beach, but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus.

For John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

So when they had gathered together, they began to ask him, “Lord, is this the time when you are restoring the kingdom to Israel?”

Then they cast lots for them, and the one chosen was Matthias; so he was counted with the eleven apostles.

Completely baffled, they said, “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?

All were astounded and greatly confused, saying to one another, “What does this mean?”

and they began selling their property and possessions and distributing the proceeds to everyone, as anyone had need.

Every person who does not obey that prophet will be destroyed and thus removed from the people.’

Then they secretly instigated some men to say, “We have heard this man speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

and when he had been abandoned, Pharaoh’s daughter adopted him and brought him up as her own son.

But the Lord said to him, ‘Take the sandals off your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.

But they covered their ears, shouting out with a loud voice, and rushed at him with one intent.

So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. He asked him, “Do you understand what you’re reading?”

Philip, however, found himself at Azotus, and as he passed through the area, he proclaimed the good news to all the towns until he came to Caesarea.

(Now the men who were traveling with him stood there speechless, because they heard the voice but saw no one.)

But his disciples took him at night and let him down through an opening in the wall by lowering him in a basket.

He became hungry and wanted to eat, but while they were preparing the meal, a trance came over him.
