Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out and it was restored, as healthy as the other.

And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? For this reason they will be your judges.

Then it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ When it returns, it finds the house empty, swept clean, and put in order.

While Jesus was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and brothers came and stood outside, asking to speak to him.

But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat and went away.

He said, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the slaves replied, ‘Do you want us to go and gather them?’

Instructed by her mother, she said, “Give me the head of John the Baptist here on a platter.”

Then John’s disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.

And after he sent the crowds away, he went up the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.

For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’

But he did not answer her a word. Then his disciples came and begged him, “Send her away, because she keeps on crying out after us.”

A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of Jonah.” Then he left them and went away.

Then Peter came to him and said, “Lord, how many times must I forgive my brother who sins against me? As many as seven times?”

Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven!

Again I say, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter into the kingdom of God.”

As Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took the twelve aside privately and said to them on the way,

“Look, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the experts in the law. They will condemn him to death,

But Jesus called them and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in high positions use their authority over them.

just as the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
