Rather, he must acknowledge the son of the less loved wife as firstborn and give him the double portion of all he has, for that son is the beginning of his father’s procreative power – to him should go the right of the firstborn.

You must not do anything to the young woman – she has done nothing deserving of death. This case is the same as when someone attacks another person and murders him,

The generation to come – your descendants who will rise up after you, as well as the foreigner who will come from distant places – will see the afflictions of that land and the illnesses that the Lord has brought on it.

Then the Lord will scatter you among the peoples and there will be very few of you among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

When you beat your olive tree you must not repeat the procedure; the remaining olives belong to the resident foreigner, orphan, and widow.
