And he said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are turning it into a den of robbers!”

Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”

So after they had assembled, Pilate said to them, “Whom do you want me to release for you, Jesus Barabbas or Jesus who is called the Christ?”

In those days there was another large crowd with nothing to eat. So Jesus called his disciples and said to them,

After he sat down, he called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wants to be first, he must be last of all and servant of all.”

He called his disciples and said to them, “I tell you the truth, this poor widow has put more into the offering box than all the others.

He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of his father David.

And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High. For you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,

So Jesus said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’

Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon, the son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).

The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (the one called Christ); “whenever he comes, he will tell us everything.”

So the crowd who had been with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead were continuing to testify about it.

After Paul saw the vision, we attempted immediately to go over to Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to proclaim the good news to them.

Paul called one of the centurions and said, “Take this young man to the commanding officer, for he has something to report to him.”

To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose,

If after all there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords),

For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you by the grace of Christ and are following a different gospel –
