So they brought the boy to him. When the spirit saw him, it immediately threw the boy into a convulsion. He fell on the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth.

Jesus said to them, “Aren’t you deceived for this reason, because you don’t know the scriptures or the power of God?

Now one of the experts in the law came and heard them debating. When he saw that Jesus answered them well, he asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of all?”

Now as Jesus was going out of the temple courts, one of his disciples said to him, “Teacher, look at these tremendous stones and buildings!”

“But as for that day or hour no one knows it – neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son – except the Father.

Stay alert, then, because you do not know when the owner of the house will return – whether during evening, at midnight, when the rooster crows, or at dawn –

When he came again he found them sleeping; they could not keep their eyes open. And they did not know what to tell him.

When she saw Peter warming himself, she looked directly at him and said, “You also were with that Nazarene, Jesus.”

But he denied it: “I don’t even understand what you’re talking about!” Then he went out to the gateway, and a rooster crowed.

Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down from the cross now, that we may see and believe!” Those who were crucified with him also spoke abusively to him.

Then someone ran, filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on a stick, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Leave him alone! Let’s see if Elijah will come to take him down!”

Now when the centurion, who stood in front of him, saw how he died, he said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!”

Then as they went into the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side; and they were alarmed.

So the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen; everything was just as they had been told.

But he replied, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”

“Ha! Leave us alone, Jesus the Nazarene! Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are – the Holy One of God.”

He saw two boats by the lake, but the fishermen had gotten out of them and were washing their nets.

But when Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, “Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!”

Then astonishment seized them all, and they glorified God. They were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen incredible things today.”

What did you go out to see? A man dressed in fancy clothes? Look, those who wear fancy clothes and live in luxury are in kings’ courts!
