On that day the prince will provide for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.

The people of the land will bow down at the entrance of that gate before the Lord on the Sabbaths and on the new moons.

“This will be the border of the land: On the north side, from the Great Sea by way of Hethlon to the entrance of Zedad;

It will be their portion from the allotment of the land, a most holy place, next to the border of the Levites.

They must not sell or exchange any of it; they must not transfer this choice portion of land, for it is set apart to the Lord.

This is the land which you will allot to the tribes of Israel, and these are their portions, declares the sovereign Lord.

The mountains tremble before him, the hills convulse; the earth is laid waste before him, the world and all its inhabitants are laid waste.

For recognition of the Lord’s sovereign majesty will fill the earth just as the waters fill up the sea.

Tell Zerubbabel governor of Judah: ‘I am ready to shake the sky and the earth.

So he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”

I asked, “What is it?” And he replied, “It is a basket for measuring grain that is moving away from here.” Moreover, he said, “This is their ‘eye’ throughout all the earth.”

God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: plants yielding seeds according to their kinds, and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds.” It was so.

Then God said, “Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.”

God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.”

And to all the animals of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to all the creatures that move on the ground – everything that has the breath of life in it – I give every green plant for food.” It was so.

Bring out with you all the living creatures that are with you. Bring out every living thing, including the birds, animals, and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Let them increase and be fruitful and multiply on the earth!”

That is why its name was called Babel – because there the Lord confused the language of the entire world, and from there the Lord scattered them across the face of the entire earth.

The servant asked him, “What if the woman is not willing to come back with me to this land? Must I then take your son back to the land from which you came?”

Then Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die. But God will surely come to you and lead you up from this land to the land he swore on oath to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

They did so; Aaron extended his hand with his staff, he struck the dust of the ground, and it became gnats on people and on animals. All the dust of the ground became gnats throughout all the land of Egypt.
