The steps of a person are ordained by the Lord – so how can anyone understand his own way?

The wicked become a ransom for the righteous, and the faithless are taken in the place of the upright.

Do not speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.

Every word of God is purified; he is like a shield for those who take refuge in him.

so is a person who deceives his neighbor, and says, “Was I not only joking?”

But why should you be captivated, my son, by an adulteress, and embrace the bosom of a different woman?

All a person’s ways seem right in his own opinion, but the Lord evaluates the motives.

When a person’s ways are pleasing to the Lord, he even reconciles his enemies to himself.

Even a young man is known by his actions, whether his activity is pure and whether it is right.

Do not be a witness against your neighbor without cause, and do not deceive with your words.

The wicked person flees when there is no one pursuing, but the righteous person is as confident as a lion.

Many people seek the face of a ruler, but it is from the Lord that one receives justice.

A noble wife is the crown of her husband, but the wife who acts shamefully is like rottenness in his bones.

Loyal love and truth preserve a king, and his throne is upheld by loyal love.

The diligent person will rule, but the slothful will become a slave.

A laborer’s appetite works on his behalf, for his hunger urges him to work.
