The boy answered, ‘I will not.’ But later he had a change of heart and went.

Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one left.

There will be two women grinding grain with a mill; one will be taken and one left.

But if that evil slave should say to himself, ‘My master is staying away a long time,’

When did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’

But they said, “Not during the feast, so that there won’t be a riot among the people.”

(Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him!”)

Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi,” and kissed him.

Jesus said to him, “Friend, do what you are here to do.” Then they came and took hold of Jesus and arrested him.

The governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

Then he released Barabbas for them. But after he had Jesus flogged, he handed him over to be crucified.

He went to Pilate and asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

But the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken from them, and at that time they will fast.

Now Jesus went up the mountain and called for those he wanted, and they came to him.

He said to them, “Don’t you understand this parable? Then how will you understand any parable?

So after leaving the crowd, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat, and other boats were with him.

He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.

And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then he went around among the villages and taught.

Having no regard for the command of God, you hold fast to human tradition.”

She went home and found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
