So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

Jesus looked at them and replied, “This is impossible for mere humans, but for God all things are possible.”

Now as for the resurrection of the dead, have you not read what was spoken to you by God,

“Why does this man speak this way? He is blaspheming! Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.”

He also said, “The kingdom of God is like someone who spreads seed on the ground.

He also asked, “To what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable can we use to present it?

He also said to them, “You neatly reject the commandment of God in order to set up your tradition.

Thus you nullify the word of God by your tradition that you have handed down. And you do many things like this.”

Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”

They were both righteous in the sight of God, following all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blamelessly.

Now while Zechariah was serving as priest before God when his division was on duty,

So the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God!

Immediately Zechariah’s mouth was opened and his tongue released, and he spoke, blessing God.

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, because he has come to help and has redeemed his people.

Suddenly a vast, heavenly army appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

Simeon took him in his arms and blessed God, saying,

And the child grew and became strong, filled with wisdom, and the favor of God was upon him.

during the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the word of God came to John the son of Zechariah in the wilderness.
