I tell you the truth, you will never get out of there until you have paid the last penny!

But I say to you, do not take oaths at all – not by heaven, because it is the throne of God,

Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these!

So then, don’t worry saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’

And a leper approached, and bowed low before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible anguish.”

But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

he said, “Go away, for the girl is not dead but asleep.” And they began making fun of him.

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, shouting, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”

And their eyes were opened. Then Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about this.”

I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for the region of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town!

All the crowds were amazed and said, “Could this one be the Son of David?”

Then some of the experts in the law along with some Pharisees answered him, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.”

He told them many things in parables, saying: “Listen! A sower went out to sow.

They said to him, “We have here only five loaves and two fish.”

But immediately Jesus spoke to them: “Have courage! It is I. Do not be afraid.”

But when he saw the strong wind he became afraid. And starting to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!”

Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him, saying to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Then the disciples came to him and said, “Do you know that when the Pharisees heard this saying they were offended?”
