So the commanding officer came and asked Paul, “Tell me, are you a Roman citizen?” He replied, “Yes.”

Since I wanted to know what charge they were accusing him of, I brought him down to their council.

When the horsemen came to Caesarea and delivered the letter to the governor, they also presented Paul to him.

He ordered the centurion to guard Paul, but to let him have some freedom, and not to prevent any of his friends from meeting his needs.

So the chief priests and the most prominent men of the Jews brought formal charges against Paul to him.

For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever! Amen.

Does not nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace for him,

But God gives it a body just as he planned, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.

For every one of God’s promises are “Yes” in him; therefore also through him the “Amen” is spoken, to the glory we give to God.

God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we would become the righteousness of God.

But when Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he had clearly done wrong.

And the rest of the Jews also joined with him in this hypocrisy, so that even Barnabas was led astray with them by their hypocrisy.

For he chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world that we may be holy and unblemished in his sight in love.

He did this when he revealed to us the secret of his will, according to his good pleasure that he set forth in Christ,

and to reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, by which the hostility has been killed.

if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus.

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

As a result God exalted him and gave him the name that is above every name,

rooted and built up in him and firm in your faith just as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
