To all those loved by God in Rome, called to be saints: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

He will not respect the gods of his fathers – not even the god loved by women. He will not respect any god; he will elevate himself above them all.

everyone who has determined to follow God, the Lord God of his ancestors, even if he is not ceremonially clean according to the standards of the temple.”

“I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge before God’s angels.

Adulterers, do you not know that friendship with the world means hostility toward God? So whoever decides to be the world’s friend makes himself God’s enemy.
