The governor asked them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And they said, “Barabbas!”

But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.

So he got up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Be quiet! Calm down!” Then the wind stopped, and it was dead calm.

Then the woman, with fear and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before him and told him the whole truth.

He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your disease.”

For Moses said, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever insults his father or mother must be put to death.’

But you say that if anyone tells his father or mother, ‘Whatever help you would have received from me is corban’ (that is, a gift for God),

Jesus asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” So they called the blind man and said to him, “Have courage! Get up! He is calling you.”

Jesus said to him, “Go, your faith has healed you.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the road.

He said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.

Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question. Answer me and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:

Now they wanted to arrest him (but they feared the crowd), because they realized that he told this parable against them. So they left him and went away.

Then Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.

The expert in the law said to him, “That is true, Teacher; you are right to say that he is one, and there is no one else besides him.

Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left on another. All will be torn down!”

So the disciples left, went into the city, and found things just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover.

While they were at the table eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, one of you eating with me will betray me.”

While they were eating, he took bread, and after giving thanks he broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it. This is my body.”

Now when the centurion, who stood in front of him, saw how he died, he said, “Truly this man was God’s Son!”
