Then Judas, the one who would betray him, said, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus replied, “You have said it yourself.”

(Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “The one I kiss is the man. Arrest him!”)

“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

So Jesus replied to him, “Let it happen now, for it is right for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John yielded to him.

Jesus called his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits so they could cast them out and heal every kind of disease and sickness.

Jesus said to them, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because of your hard hearts, but from the beginning it was not this way.

And you will be hated by everyone because of my name. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

The one who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, and the one on whom it falls will be crushed.”

Jesus said to him, “I will come and heal him.”

Then Jesus cried out again with a loud voice and gave up his spirit.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of heaven – only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven.

For I tell you, you will not see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

The one with the two talents also came and said, ‘Sir, you entrusted two talents to me. See, I have gained two more.’

The seed sown among thorns is the person who hears the word, but worldly cares and the seductiveness of wealth choke the word, so it produces nothing.

As the night was ending, Jesus came to them walking on the sea.

And whoever swears by the temple swears by it and the one who dwells in it.

And whoever swears by heaven swears by the throne of God and the one who sits on it.

The crowds that went ahead of him and those following kept shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

The one who had received the five talents came and brought five more, saying, ‘Sir, you entrusted me with five talents. See, I have gained five more.’
