Now while Jesus was in Bethany at the house of Simon the leper, reclining at the table, a woman came with an alabaster jar of costly aromatic oil from pure nard. After breaking open the jar, she poured it on his head.

Moved with compassion, Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing. Be clean!”

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, but is guilty of an eternal sin”

After throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him.

For what benefit is it for a person to gain the whole world, yet forfeit his life?

So Pilate asked them, “Do you want me to release the king of the Jews for you?”

As Jesus was having a meal in Levi’s home, many tax collectors and sinners were eating with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many who followed him.
