“But in those days, after that suffering, the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light;

For you will always have the poor with you, and you can do good for them whenever you want. But you will not always have me!

But Peter insisted emphatically, “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.

Jesus answered them, “Those who are well don’t need a physician, but those who are sick do.

Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye, but fail to see the beam of wood in your own?

for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thorns, nor are grapes picked from brambles.

This is the one about whom it is written, ‘Look, I am sending my messenger ahead of you, who will prepare your way before you.’

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which were many, are forgiven, thus she loved much; but the one who is forgiven little loves little.”

The man from whom the demons had gone out begged to go with him, but Jesus sent him away, saying,

Now they were all wailing and mourning for her, but he said, “Stop your weeping; she is not dead but asleep.”

Herod said, “I had John beheaded, but who is this about whom I hear such things?” So Herod wanted to learn about Jesus.

But I tell you most certainly, there are some standing here who will not experience death before they see the kingdom of God.”

So Jesus asked the experts in religious law and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?”
