and provide mounts for Paul to ride so that he may be brought safely to Felix the governor.”

Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over and join this chariot.”

But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, stand up and walk!”

and said to him, ‘Go out from your country and from your relatives, and come to the land I will show you.’

The man replied, “How in the world can I, unless someone guides me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

The angel said to him, “Fasten your belt and put on your sandals.” Peter did so. Then the angel said to him, “Put on your cloak and follow me.”

He gathered these together, along with the workmen in similar trades, and said, “Men, you know that our prosperity comes from this business.

After some days Paul said to Barnabas, “Let’s return and visit the brothers in every town where we proclaimed the word of the Lord to see how they are doing.”

But some in the crowd shouted one thing, and others something else, and when the commanding officer was unable to find out the truth because of the disturbance, he ordered Paul to be brought into the barracks.

When day came, they did not recognize the land, but they noticed a bay with a beach, where they decided to run the ship aground if they could.

In spite of what you think, these men are not drunk, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning.

Yet they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.

Then a famine occurred throughout Egypt and Canaan, causing great suffering, and our ancestors could not find food.

Now send men to Joppa and summon a man named Simon, who is called Peter.

Then as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit fell on them just as he did on us at the beginning.

So Paul stood up, gestured with his hand and said, “Men of Israel, and you Gentiles who fear God, listen:

he said with a loud voice, “Stand upright on your feet.” And the man leaped up and began walking.
