“When I broke the seven loaves for the four thousand, how many baskets full of pieces did you pick up?” They replied, “Seven.”

The one on the roof must not come down or go inside to take anything out of his house.

The one in the field must not turn back to get his cloak.

Then they crucified him and divided his clothes, throwing dice for them, to decide what each would take.

Give to everyone who asks you, and do not ask for your possessions back from the person who takes them away.

They all ate and were satisfied, and what was left over was picked up – twelve baskets of broken pieces.

Jesus said to him, “Stand up! Pick up your mat and walk.”

So the Jewish leaders said to the man who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, and you are not permitted to carry your mat.”

They asked him, “Who is the man who said to you, ‘Pick up your mat and walk’?”

Then they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out from the temple area.

I am not asking you to take them out of the world, but that you keep them safe from the evil one.

When a gentle south wind sprang up, they thought they could carry out their purpose, so they weighed anchor and sailed close along the coast of Crete.

You must put away every kind of bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and evil, slanderous talk.

And you know that Jesus was revealed to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.

No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, because the patch will pull away from the garment and the tear will be worse.

For whoever has will be given more, and will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

Then John’s disciples came and took the body and buried it and went and told Jesus.

For this reason I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.

And they knew nothing until the flood came and took them all away. It will be the same at the coming of the Son of Man.

For the one who has will be given more, and he will have more than enough. But the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
