So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” He replied, “You say so.”

So Pilate spoke to them again, “Then what do you want me to do with the one you call king of the Jews?”

But Jesus rebuked him: “Silence! Come out of him!”

Simon’s mother-in-law was lying down, sick with a fever, so they spoke to Jesus at once about her.

When they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you.”

When his family heard this they went out to restrain him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

He answered them and said, “Who are my mother and my brothers?”

He taught them many things in parables, and in his teaching said to them:

And he said, “Whoever has ears to hear had better listen!”

(For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of that man, you unclean spirit!”)

for she kept saying, “If only I touch his clothes, I will be healed.”

But when Herod heard this, he said, “John, whom I beheaded, has been raised!”

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven.”

Regaining his sight he said, “I see people, but they look like trees walking.”

Jesus sent him home, saying, “Do not even go into the village.”

They said, “Moses permitted a man to write a certificate of dismissal and to divorce her.”

They were even more astonished and said to one another, “Then who can be saved?”

Jesus said to them, “Have faith in God.

Jesus began to say to them, “Watch out that no one misleads you.
