But the person who endures to the end will be saved.

But he looked around to see who had done it.

But they could not reply to this.

The Word was with God in the beginning.

He must become more important while I become less important.”

Jesus said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue in Capernaum.

While he was saying these things, many people believed in him.

“I have spoken these things while staying with you.

This I command you – to love one another.

“I have told you all these things so that you will not fall away.

Then the high priest said, “Are these things true?”

Did my hand not make all these things?’

So there was great joy in that city.

After he had said this, he dismissed the assembly.

These had gone on ahead and were waiting for us in Troas.

(He had four unmarried daughters who prophesied.)

He wrote a letter that went like this:

Instead, does a Christian sue a Christian, and do this before unbelievers?

But you yourselves wrong and cheat, and you do this to your brothers and sisters!

I say this as a concession, not as a command.
