I did not recognize him, but I came baptizing with water so that he could be revealed to Israel.”

Just as the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so the one who consumes me will live because of me.

Now a large crowd of Judeans learned that Jesus was there, and so they came not only because of him but also to see Lazarus whom he had raised from the dead.

If you belonged to the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you do not belong to the world, but I chose you out of the world, for this reason the world hates you.
